(Honolulu, Hawaii. Sept, 17, 2019) – Il Viaggio Continua! Viaggio Restaurant and Master Sommelier Roberto Viernes present a wine pairing dinner featuring Chateau Ste. Michelle Wineries fine wines.
For the fourth in this summer series, Executive Chef Rodney Uyehara has created a unique and delicious, five-course wine-paired menu on which he collaborated and will present together with Master Sommelier Roberto Viernes, on September 25 from 6pm to 8:30pm.

Limited to 50 guests, this one-night-only wine pairing, five-course dinner will begin with an Amuse Bouche of crostini topped with olive and eggplant tapenade with anchovy, and truffle shaving, paired with NV Nicholas Feuillatte Brut Champagne.
Next up is Chef Uyehara’s Grilled Calamari with lemon and thyme jus, paired with Prunotto Ameis, Piedmonte, Italia and Antanori Santa Cristina.
The menu then moves to Prosciutto Burrata with cherry tomatoes, extra aged balsamic vinegar and pesto and is paired with Antinori Santa Cristina Rosso.The main dish, a delicious Italian classic for meat-lovers, is Osso Bucco served with seasonal root vegetables and paired with Marcheshi Vigne
The Gran Finale is none other than Chef’s Special Bread Pudding served with freshly brewed illy coffee to provide the perfect ending to this sumptuous pairing dinner.

ABOUT ROBERTO VIERNES
Roberto Viernes, Master Sommelier, earned his designation in 2005, and was one of the youngest persons in the world to have achieved this title. He is one of only two Master Sommeliers in Hawaii. Roberto has intimate knowledge of all aspects of the wine industry and has worked in retails, restaurant and distributor settings. Roberto teaches courses with the Court of Master Sommeliers and is also a monthly contributor to the Star Advertiser and writes a column titled Vino Sense in the Midweek Magazine.
